The most visited and most celebrated entry point to Tadoba. Moharli offers access to the richest tiger habitat — Tadoba Lake, Telia Lake, and dense teak forest corridors known for frequent tiger activity. The infrastructure here is the best in the reserve.
Core Zone
Kolara is the premium, serene alternative to Moharli. It accesses the iconic Telia Lake — a regular tiger and crocodile congregation point. Fewer vehicles than Moharli, luxury lodges nearby (Svasara, Mahua Tola), and a more intimate wilderness experience.
Buffer Zone
Junona buffer zone offers easier permit access and fewer vehicles. Tigers and leopards move through regularly from the adjacent core. Excellent for budget-conscious travelers, last-minute bookings, and those seeking a quieter forest experience.
Buffer Zone
Tadoba's most remote and least-visited zone — perfect for serious wildlife enthusiasts who value exclusivity over convenience. Undisturbed forest, minimal vehicle presence, and a raw jungle experience unlike any other zone in the reserve.

Tadoba has 4 main safari zones — Moharli (core), Kolara (core), Junona (buffer), and Khutwanda (buffer). Additional buffer entries like Pangdi, Navegaon, and Alizanza also exist for canter safaris.
Moharli and Kolara core zones have the highest tiger sighting rates (80–85%+). Moharli gives access to Tadoba Lake area while Kolara covers Telia Lake — both prime tiger territories. Summer months (April–May) see the most frequent sightings in both zones.
Absolutely! Many guests do morning safaris in Moharli or Kolara and evening safaris in Junona or Khutwanda for a multi-zone experience. A 3–4 night stay is ideal for experiencing 2–3 different zones. Contact our team to plan multi-zone itineraries.
